Who We Are

Faithful

New Hope Church is a diverse community comprised of people at different stages in our spiritual journeys. Together, we seek to be continually transformed by the presence of Jesus among us, striving to follow him wherever he leads. We have learned that following Jesus does not mean life is automatically easier. In fact, many in our church family have experienced challenges of every kind. Through our trials, however, God has always been faithful to redeem and renew. We have learned to lean on each other, reminding one another of the grace, mercy, and love of God, and encourage each other to remain steadfast and faithful. We remain committed to partner with Jesus who through the cross, is making all things new; we cling to our hope in his return, and his reward to all who have been faithful to him.

Connected

The call to follow Jesus is an invitation into the family of God—into a community of faith centered around Jesus Christ. New Hope is a relational church where we value people over programs. Rather than an institution or an organization, we are an organic group of believers sharing life together. So, when you’re with us, you feel like family. We enjoy spending time together, whether at worship service or in each other’s homes. We strive to be a welcoming place where newcomers can quickly find a place to belong. Whatever your background, whatever your experience, you are given a voice and a seat at the table. We prioritize both the meeting of each other’s needs and the needs of the surrounding community, and in doing so deepen our connection with each other and our neighbors.

Authentic

Through the gospel, we are fully loved and accepted. This truth sets us free to take off our masks and allow our true selves to be known, rather than projecting a version of what we (or others) think we should be. Our goal is to be a safe place to worship together and share our struggles. Therefore, we are free to ask tough questions, wrestle through doubts, and share struggles without fear of judgment or becoming someone’s project. In our services, what you see is what you get, as we strive to be authentic, allowing our joys, flaws, and blemishes to show. New Hope is a place where limited and imperfect people can find a home and a place to belong, not because we have it all together, but because of God’s free gift of grace.

Loving

God is love, and Jesus, who laid down his life, is the ultimate expression of God’s love for the world. As followers of Jesus who represent him in the world, we strive to put God’s love into action. Loving others well means taking the initiative and expending our resources to provide care and meet real needs, whether in our church, our neighborhood, or the world. Loving means a commitment to be there for each other in difficult times and to cherish relationships over programs, valuing each other as people rather than for what we can contribute. Loving means to appreciate and respect the diversity of backgrounds and opinions represented in our family, being committed to listen, empathize, believe the best, accept, and move toward each other even when we disagree.
